Scapa Test and Performance Platform
Features
Scapa Technologies in
Partnership with Panacea Workflow Systems, are pleased to announce
the release of Scapa Test and Performance Platform 3.3, the only
StressTest tool in the market with out-of-the-box connectivity to
the Remedy AR System.
The continuous evolution and
adaptability of the AR System significantly reduces the development
life cycle for deploying new or enhanced versions of existing
applications. In this environment it is essential that companies can
effectively test performance, scalability and reliability of new or
updated implementations quickly and easily without sacrificing user
productivity. Scapa Test and Performance Platform increases the
responsiveness of bespoke and Remedy packaged solutions built on the
AR System, the majority of which are deployed to support critical
business processes such as Helpdesk and Customer Relationship
Management.
Features :
• Quick diagnosis and
resolution of performance problems
• Post-production monitoring and reporting on system utilization
• Pre-production performance testing to ensure effective, painless
• Applicable in a wide range of commercial software environments
• Deliver return on investment in IT systems
• Integrated product with a simple, server-based licensing model
• Full project management and team support with version control
• Based on the Eclipse Test and Performance Tools Platform
(www.eclipse.org/test-andperformance/)
Task Creation
-
Build user tasks based on standard AR System capture (AR User
Tool) and replay (runmacro command).
- More
complex user tasks can be built by using the TaskBench GUI. This
GUI graphically represents a rich set of ARSystem API calls,
which allow you to quickly and easily build precise user tasks.
-
Tasks can also be represented by generic client or server side
programs or scripts. These may be used to represent integrating
to your AR System application from other applications.
-
Introduce variability into tasks by generalising certain
parameter values. For example, randomly changing AR System
qualification which is executed.
Replay and Measurement
-
Tests, built from one or many tasks, are replayed to create load
against the AR System servers. Scapa StressTest communicates
directly with AR System API calls and therefore can stress test all
custom AR System applications and out of the box solutions that
run on the application server.
-
Scapa StressTest can configure multiple categories of simulated
users into one load test, each one controlled and monitored
individually, thereby achieving results in one test as opposed
to many. This significantly increases the intelligence gathered
on different user groups and helps facilitate predictive support
decisions.
-
While the test is running, the rate of user activity can be
dynamically changed using graphical sliders on an interactive
display. Changes can be seen as the tester modifies the test
load and number of users, making it quick and accurate to verify
scalability and reliability.
-
The ability to include remote users' experience in the test
process, by driving tests from different geographical locations,
enables well-targeted optimization of network and operating
system configurations.

Monitoring and Performance
-
Real-time performance rates show what is happening in a
production environment and will
activate alerts by e-mail or audio warning when performance
thresholds that you have set
are breached.
-
Scapa StressTest enables performance benchmarking of
applications, by replaying testing
parameters and validating the changes in performance that
result from modifications in functionality and system upgrades.
- The
Testanalysis tool allows analysis of any StressTest sessions
which have been run previously, allowing system engineers to
identify whether the application is performing within acceptable
parameters.
