SharePoint-Remedy 2
Incident to Change -
In this movie we show how you can take an existing web part, and modify it to show entries from a different Remedy Form.
Firstly a copy of the xslt configuration files from the original web part is take, and renamed to a name related to the new Remedy Form that we are going to display.
A new web page is created, and an instance of our Web Part is added to the page.
The web page is then configured to load the new set of xslt files. This is checked by view the new web page, and we can see the information from the original form.
The QuickStart tool is then used to set up a new xslt configuration for the new Remedy Form. It is configured from the information held in a table field on a Form. This is then exported to file and that information is then used to edit the new set of xslt files, so it will now bring back records from the new Remedy Form.
Data Entry Form -
This movie shows how to set up a “Data Entry” type form used to submit a new entry into a Form.
In this movie we have already created a set xslt files from the supplied template files, and have a web page and web part already configured. Please take a look at the “Incident to Change” movie to see how to do this.
We start by using the QuickStart tool to perform the configuration. We select the Form that is to be submitted into, and choose the Fields that we want to display and submit into.
The some Fields have the configuration changed to be either hidden or set up as “filter” type menus fields. The configuration is then exported to an xml file, and then the xslt files are updated from the exported file.
